Takayama Hida Folk Village or Orimachi Shirakawa village?

Will be in Takayama in April for 2 nights and about 1 and a quarter days.

Are Hida Folk %26amp; Orimachi Villages very much the same?

Which one is the best village to visit? Is Ogimachi in Shirakawa worth the trip from Takayama. Can%26#39;t stay at Shirakawa now as Takayama booked and paid for.

Takayama Hida Folk Village or Orimachi Shirakawa village?

Ogimachi is now much easier to reach than it was and I would reccommend anyone who has the time to visit it.

But since you only have a little time in Takayama, stick to the Hida Folk Village. You will see a wide range of houses, including the style seen in Ogimachi.

The guide books say it%26#39;s a 20-minute walk from town to the Folk Village, but it seems longer to me, and itis a particularly boring walk. I would take a bus or taxi.
