What do you plan on doing? A lot of folks go there to see the sights- some rent a car and go around the whole island, see Shurien, the aquarium, etc, others go to hang out at the beach. A week is enough to see the sights. I hope you have your tickets booked now, as Golden Week is major high season for domestic travel. It would also be a good idea to book your hotel now, too.

5 days is ok for spending and looking around in Okinawa main island.

But above says, this season is high price and busiest. some Hotels and car rental shops are booked out so soon. You better start your plan fix and reserve all things you need during staying.

In Japan, tour price (airfee and hotel) is double, triple or more than normal season.

change yor plan weeks later if you can. cheaper, warmer, less crowded, more space at beach or more if you avoid this Golden week.
