Best Way from Narita to Tokyo

What would be the most economical way for a private transfer from the airport to our hotel? THANKS

Best Way from Narita to Tokyo

How about 1,000 yen to Tokyo sounds to you?

Then you need to transfer to get to your hotel.

If your hotel is near JR line in Tokyo, NEX+SUICA may be for your convenience.

Do you mean a private van or car? Taxi rates are fixed, about 20,000 yen (%26gt;USD200), depending on your destination. narita-airport.jp/en/鈥etail_taxi.html

Some people have used http://www.tokyoairporter.com/ for about the same amount.

The Airport Limosine bus is a good alternative for first-timers with lots of luggage, if their hotel is on one of the routes. About 3,000 yen. You might get delayed in traffic but you won%26#39;t get lost.

If you want to consider rail options, reply with your destination.

A private transfer is several times more expensive than the various train or limobus options, and it probably doesn%26#39;t get you into Tokyo any faster.

Best, private, and economical don%26#39;t all go to well.

If you can afford it, a private car from the Narita Airport to the helicopter pad at Narita, a choper flight to Tokyo and a private car to your hotel. But that%26#39;s not very economical.

A taxi will run you over 200 US, remember Nartia Airport isn%26#39;t in Tokyo.

So depending on where your hotel is, you might want to opt for trains or buses, there%26#39;s no right or wrong answer, it just depends on many factors.

1. Where is your hotel?

2. How much do you consider ';economical';.

How many people?

Most of people take the Keisei line to Tokyo. It runs up to Ueno station. Then you can transfer to JR line. You can phurchase conjuntion ticket of Keisei and JR at Narita airport. Please refer to below website which is Keisei.

The airport bus called the Limosine bus is my recommendation - once you depart customs - their counter is practically in front of you. You purchase your tickets at that time cost approx. $30. per person - the bus staff loads up your luggage. If arriving late - bus stops are limited and you might have to get dropped at the closest hotel - then take taxi. Their staff speaks english so you shouldnt have any problem.

Again, best and most economical is always a trade-off (chopper aside!).

Limobus: door-to-door to popular hotels, no need to drag your bags, around 3,000 Yen. Might run into traffic jams in the late afternoon to early evening.

Narita Express: goes to most major stations and it%26#39;s particularly good if your hotel is near Shinjuku, Tokyo, Shinagawa, Ikebukuro. Effective cost of 1,500 Yen using NEX-Suica package

Skyliner + Yamanote: good for Ueno. Need to transfer to JR Line (the easiest transfer is at Nippori, not Ueno). 1,920 Yen + JR fare (usually under 200 Yen)

Keisei Limited Express + Yamanote: same as Skyliner except no reserved seating and slightly slower. 1,000 Yen + JR fare.

Personally, since I always try to pick a hotel that is within a reasonable distance from the station, I always ride the train even if it involves a transfer.
