Right now, planning to take to day trips from Kyoto, one to the Sakura festival in Yoshino and one to Nara. By doing so, I%26#39;m kind of cutting into my time in Kyoto. I really want to see the Sakura in Yoshino. Would you cut Nara in favour of more time in Kyoto? I keep hearing that these are ';half day'; trips. How many hours would you recommend (not including travel time) to spend in each town to make it worthwhile?

You can probably roam around Nara for 4 or 5 hours.
If it was me, I%26#39;d make sure I spent two full days in Kyoto. If there%26#39;s time beyond that, I%26#39;d definitely visit Nara.
