Osaka Nightlife

I am going to be in Osaka in July. What is the nightlife life? Dancing, karaoke, clubs etc.

Osaka Nightlife

Not sure what kind of nightlife you%26#39;re into, but in Osaka it basically runs in 2 categories: Bars/Pubs, and Clubs.

You could check the websites of Kansai Scene magazine and Japanzine, but you are better off trying to pick up free copies of these monthly magazines, especially if you are in town during the first half of the month. (The mags are hard to find later in the month when people take them all.) These mags have good maps in them and adverts of lots of bars %26amp; clubs, but these maps %26amp; ads are not on their websites!

So, for bars, here are some of the popular ones where English is spoken (known as ';gaijin'; bars) around Namba:

The Hub, Murphy%26#39;s Irish Pub, The Cellar, Zerro, Mad Cafe, Cinquecento martini bar (all 500 yen), Balabushka, Rose bar, and a new one called Scorpion.

If you like live music, Murphy%26#39;s and Cellar have bands.

For clubs, which do not get going until late and have cover charges usually, the main ones in Namba are Club Pure (all you can drink for 3000 yen men/ 2000 yen women), Club Camon, Sam %26amp; Dave in Nagahoribashi, and a new one called System 7 near Triangle Park.
