Advice of where to stay in Tokyo...

Hi, I am heading to Tokyo in May and was hoping to gather as much information as possible!

Would anyone have any suggestion as to whereabout in Tokyo to stay thats centrally located to all the tourist hot spots?

Prob somewhere thats not too expensive ($100 - $140 aust$$) and more family orientated.

Would appreciate all the feedback!

Thanks!!

Shinjuku is a good option.

Or Shibuya area, which is not far from Shinjuku.

Has lots of shops, walk to Meiji Shrine, Yoyogi Park, Otemsando and on Ginza line which has good acess.

Depends on what you are interested in doing as %26#39;central Tokyo%26#39; is a large area.

check out Hotel sunroute plaza shinjuku (read the reviews) , we just returned and had a great stay!.

If you budget is A$100 to 140, then Sunroute Plaza would likely be over budget. You can always stay at the reliable Toyoko Inn chain. Another possibility is Dormy Inn.
