Manga

DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i went (yes i managed to pack that into my itenary) and it was rubbish!!!

i can tell you exactly what it is...

you get to akihabara, walk to this like posh office buiding thingy, you get the lift to the fourth floor (if i remember right) getting all excited...and all it is, is a shop about 4 times the size of a am.pm shop

at the start is a few pictures, then theres a animation wall, a few toys. a till, and a few anime things to buy at a more than the rrp price!!!

we spent half an hour looking for this place and left in 5 minutes!!!

you cant take pictures at all but i can tell you its rubbish!!!

Ghibli Museum: http://www.ghibli-museum.jp/en/

agnel,

wow, is the tokyo anime center that bad? From the website it doesn%26#39;t look like anything special and the pdf%26#39;s are too ridiculously large to download on their connection.

Well, the anime center is more like a showcase.

There are things for sale, some illustrations and different exhibitions going on.

Not a big place but it´s still worth the visit I say.

By no means ';rubbish';!

It also has exclusive things for sale which you can´t find anywhere else.

the things they sold...was available is shinjuku and akihabara...

personally i love anime/ manga... but in my opinion...it was *rubbish* because from the picture i got from the website i was expecting something on a lot bigger scale

but everyones got their own opinion...i guess i had my hopes up too high (?)

IMO, Tokyo Anime Centre should change its name to Anime Information Centre, so that people won%26#39;t get a wrong impression of the place.

TV stations, publishing companies and toy manufacturers have all contributed to the place. It holds archive materials and provides the latest development news on the Anime/Manga industry in Japan. You can also get hold of information of other interesting Anime/Manga places to visit in the country. It%26#39;s worth a visit if you%26#39;re truly a Anime/Manga fan, just don%26#39;t expect to be surrounded by lots of cartoon characters.

you are spot on!!!

yes

its more of a information centre!!!!

Can you find much translated english manga/anime in Japan? It%26#39;s so expensive to buy here, I would be interested to see what the price is like in Japan.

Maybe Nakano Broadway? Not really a museum. More like a mall marketplace.
