last day in Osaka

We arrive in Osaka from Hiroshima around lunchtime on Saturday. We will then have the rest of the day and the whole of Sunday to spend in Osaka, before departing for home on the Monday. We have been to Osaka before and visited the castle and Universal Studios. We would like to see more of Osaka, so can anyone recommend an itinery for us.

It depends on your particular interests.

The aquarium (kaiyukan) is well worth visiting and can easily be done in half a day. If you%26#39;ve been to Osaka before, you may want to give somewhere nearby a go, for example, you could do Nara or Koyasan as a day trip.

Another alternative is my personal favourite, Spa World, in the Shinimamiya area of Osaka - a great place to relax before your flight home.

Spa World is offering 1,000 yen all day admission fee promo until the end of April.

That%26#39;s good deal!

Spaworld, if you want to do the Japanese onsen thing. Koya-san and Nara are excellent day trips, you could also do a day trip to Kyoto. There is a lot of shopping around the main Osaka/Umeda train station--large Japanese department stores such as Hankyu, worth visiting to get a feel for Japanese shopping culture, the basements of these (food level) are very interesting. Osaka is known as an eating city, almost any place you visit will have great food! Are you visiting Miyajima when you go to Hiroshima? Hope so!
