or Fukuoka 2 or 3 nights...
Kojima (14th) 1 night, maybe 2
back to Kyoto (15-17th) 3 nights or do I stopover in Hakone??? 1 night
Then 18th back in Tokyo to pu some luggage before flying out on 19th am
What would you change add...
OH NO an itineraryGuruswife,
Snorkeling may not be great in June as it’s the rainy season in Japan. Please see
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2273.html
“From the beginning of June, the rainy season (tsuyu) visits most parts of Japan, except Hokkaido. While it does not rain every day, the weather tends to be overcast and dreary...”
Instead of snorkeling, you may consider visiting Beppu, Yufuin, Aso, Kumamoto, etc. in Kyushu. Please see
http://www.japan-guide.com/list/e1108.html
Or, you may visit Yakushima from Kagoshima. Please see

OH NO an itineraryoh man the rainy season is a pain in the rear. good point edokko.
also, many of the places edokko mentioned, such as beppu, yufuin, kumamoto, etc, can be done as day trips from Fukuoka (JR Hakata station). You can use your JR pass on these trains if you will have one.
Fukuoka is a lovely city to live but if you stay 3 days, i%26#39;d recommend a day trip to fill your time....
OK...looks like plan c
Not interested in more volcanoes and hot springs...we%26#39;ll get those fom Hakone etc and we%26#39;ve done volcanoes before...
I picked Kagoshima becuase we were looking for a variation on the norm...
I know it%26#39;s not ideal weather time but those are the dates we have to deal with..
