Hi we are heading to Japan in April and will spend 2 nights in tokyo. I have tried to search a lot of hotels and have had trouble confirming if they will provide a rollaway bed for my 11 year old son.
I also tried ryokan annex katsutaro and its sister ryokan but they are full. Essentially we all want to be in the one room. I would like to pay around 20000 but most seem more than that. My questions are does anyone know of a hotel that takes 3 in a room ...do i need to spend 30,000 to get a good room and location and importantly what would be a good location for us...i am thinking shinjuku.

We stayed in both Ryokan Sawanoya and the Keio Plaza hotel with 3 people (2 adults, 1 child). The triple room at Sawanoya was great -- plenty of room for 3 futons.
The Keio Plaza room had two twin beds (essentially small queens) which was okay for us. A bit tight but not bad.
