Does Tokyo have a hop on and hop off Sightseeing Bus?

Is there a sightseeing bus in Tokyo where you pay for a day ticket which allows you to hop on and off the bus at various tourist sights.

Most big cities in the world have this type of bus?

If so can someone give me a web page link please.

I have never seen one - given the relatively spread out nature of Tokyo and its attractions and sights I don%26#39;t think a bus would work

The closest I can think of that comes close is called the Tokyo Metro or maybe the JR Yamonote line - ie trains (but you pay per trip as opposed to a single fare)

We did the skybus tour (2nd link above). It is similar to a hop on hop off (headphones / commentary) BUT no hopping on and off. Enjoyed it though..

You may also take free shuttle bus around tokyo station area.

There is the sky bus that makes a quick circuit around central Tokyo. It departs from the corner next to the Marunouchi Bldg, across from the old International Post Office adjacent to Tokyo Station.

Really, I can%26#39;t recommend it - its kind of a lame drive by, but you get to sit in the open upper deck of a two deck bus.

Other than that Hato bus tours are the way to go, but they are not hop on hop off.

I was wrong - there is one which was introduced in April 2008...

There are stops at:

Tokyo Station

Nihombashi

Akihabara

Ueno

Kappabashi

Asakusa

Ryogoku

Tickets are 200 yen for adults and 100 yen for children. Or you can buy a One Day Pass (adults 500 yen, children 250 yen) and enjoy unlimited travel on Toei buses within Tokyo’s 23 wards that day
