hokkaido weather & cherry blossoms; & other recommendations

hi all,

i have booked a trip to hokkaido on may 6th - may 11th and tokyo from 11th-13th, it%26#39;ll be a tour, just wanted to ask a few things:

1) how will the weather be like those couple of days?

2) will i get the chance to view the cherry blossoms?

3) are there any recommended places to go to eat or see while i%26#39;m in those areas? although i%26#39;ll be on a tour, we%26#39;ll have some free time and i won%26#39;t want to waste it.

1. Weather: this is easily available on most weather websites. Try the one below and just type in Tokyo or Sapporo as the city%26#39;s name in the search box. They have historical and average data as well.

2. You might get a chance at Hokkaido but it will be too late for Tokyo.

3. Your tour will mostly take care of all the important attractions. I suggest you check with the tour guide to see what other places are recommended. It will also depend on the amount of free time you have.
