I have heard of places where people will act as a private guide or buddy and (for a modest fee) will show you round a city from a resident%26#39;s or insider%26#39;s point of view. Has anyone come across such an arrangement in Tokyo?

Strangely enough, Chicago is one of the places I heard about these gudes. We will be planning our next big trip there in 2010 so I hope you will be able to give me lots of information when the time comes.
