Ritz Carlton or Seiyo Ginza?

Which do you think is most deluxe and has best location? THANKS

Ritz Carlton or Seiyo Ginza?

they are completly deference.

Ritz is at Roppongi area and hotel is high floor of the Midtown complex area. I haven%26#39;t stayed there but I felt so complecated and incovenience in Lobby and public area in this hotel. But if you want to enjoy night life mainly and explore in Shibuya and Shinjuku, this is good location.

Seiyo is great in my opinion, It is small and luxury hotel. They knew who we were when we arrived even we haven%26#39;t stayed there ever before. Butler service made me feel something defferent during our staying. restaurants in this hotel are so great. Location is just edge of Ginza area. Subway stations are within a couple of minute.

Ritz Carlton or Seiyo Ginza?

Stayed once at Seiyo and OK but no views......I would choose Ritz for views and location ( I prefer this area) or the Penninsular Hotel.

oh forget to mention about view from rooms, of course Ritz has great view and Seiyo does not have any at all. Seiyo is just btw buildings.

sockster,

If you are interested in staying near Tokyo Station, Shangri-La Hotel will be open in Marunouchi Trust City on March 2, 2009. I assume Shangri-La will be one of the most luxurious hotels in Tokyo. Please see

shangri-la.com/en/property/tokyo/shangrila

mori-trust.co.jp/marunouchi/…index.html

If you decide to stay there, please write a trip report. I’d love to hear your experience!

:-)

Seiyo Ginza is a business man%26#39;s hotel - if you want to enjoy any nightlife go to the RC at Roppongi. Lux, but a bit stogy.

I respect the recommendation on Shangri-la, but experience has shown that any new hotel in Tokyo goes through 6-9 months of growing pains after opening. Unless you want to be the subject of staff training, wait until next year to go there.

Really bad timing on that opening. Luxury hotel occupancy rates have cratered and most financial service firms (the main stay of many of these hotels, particularly around Marunouchi) have cancelled mostly all their reservations and biz trips have ended. Its ugly out there.

You haven%26#39;t asked for Pen vs Ritz yet. Waiting for that one.
