traditional tea in kyoto

where can I have a traditional tea with my daughter in Kyoto in April?

Many places.

Nazen-ji temple has this place where you can sit and enjoy the view of the garden while you taste Maccha-green tea.

Visit Uji-city, where they harvest majority of Kyoto made tea leaves for variety of Japanese tea. Try their greentea ice cream (again, as I mentioned this before for another thread, don%26#39;t go the shop just in front of the Keihan Uji station. Explorer further inside the town). They put sprinkle of maccha tea powder on Icecream and very delicious and refreshing. Not too sweet.

i do not recommend other cafes and shops for tourists around central Kyoto area though. They tend to use instant low class cheap greentea.
