Narita to Hotel Late

My flight will be arriving at 8:10p.m. at Narita Airport.I am staying at The Century Southern Tower, near Shinjuku Station. I know that the last bus departs at 8:40pm so its highly unlikely that I%26#39;m able to catch that. The last NEX leaves at 9:45pm I think. Will I have enough time to catch that. Do I need to reserve my seats? What are my other transport options? Then on my day of departure my flight will be at 9:45am. Is it advisable to take the 6:07am train from Shinjuku to Narita? Will I have enough time. This is my first time to Tokyo and I%26#39;m really confused.

Thanks!

If things are fast you should be able to catch the 8:40 bus, if things are slow, then you can take it easy and catch a Narita Express train direct to Shinjuku Station then walk to the hotel.

Alternately, if you don%26#39;t want to be bothered with trains and luggage at train stations, then take a limousine bus to Shinjuku Station, then walk to the Southern Tower, it is not very far from the station.

Schedule for buses to Shinjuku station:

You can see there are many depatures by limousine bus to Shinjuku Station. Get the Limousine and Metro pass if you take the limousine bus.

Otherwise if you want to take the Narita Express:

I suggest the Suica %26amp; Nex pass if you get the narita express, you can make reservations at the train station at the airport.

When you arrive at Shinjuku Station, take the NEW SOUTH EXIT and the hotel will be a few moments walk down from the NEW SOUTH EXIT. If you take the SOUTH EXIT you will have to cross the street then walk strait. Do not take the east, or west exits.

If you take the early morning train, that should give you enough time to check in and do everything you need to do at the airport.

You should be able to catch the 9:43pm NEX with no problem. Later in the evening, the Narita arrivals are much quicker compared to the afternoon peak hours. You don%26#39;t (and can%26#39;t) need to reserve seats in advance for the journey to Shinjuku. When you buy your ticket (and as suggested, consider NEX-Suica package to save money), you will be given an assigned seat.

If you arrive Shinjuku using NEX, the NEX platform is basically directly below the Southern Terrace Exit. Just use the escalator to go to the street level and you wouldn%26#39;t even have to cross the street to get to Century Southern Tower, which is literally a 2 minute walk away.

Should you miss the last NEX, you can catch the Keisei Skyliner (1,920 Yen) or Keisei Limited Express (1,000 Yen) the last train leaves at 10:41pm) to Nippori and transfer to JR Yamanote Line (190 Yen) to Shinjuku. Take the New South exit and cross the street to Southern Terrace.

For the leg back to Narita, don%26#39;t take a train that is later than 6:51am which arrives at 8:10am. That should still give you enough time to check-in but taking a train or two earlier should mean less rush. You should buy your ticket the day before at the Green Ticket Window.

You can easily catch the 21:44 Narita Express. You need to make a seat booking before you board the train. However if you purchase the %26#39;Suica and NEX%26#39; combo, the clerk will spontanously book a seat for you upon purchase.

Alternatively, you could catch the limousine bus in case you miss the last Nex, though it%26#39;s quite unlikely unless your incoming flight is late.
