Planning an itinerary

I will be meeting my husband in Tokyo on 3/19 and we will stay in Japan until 3/26. I need suggestions as to what cities we should visit and what we should see. Also would like information on any tour services available.

Planning an itinerary

The best answers to your question (which is a bit broad at this point) are:

1. Research online to see what your interests are. A particular good site is http://www.japan-guide.com.

2. Read through some posts of the forum. You can scroll through older posts or type in ';itinerary'; in the search box above.

3. Find a guidebook you like a read through some sections.

Very generally speaking:

1. Tokyo, with nearby daytrips to Nikko, Kamakura, Hakone can take a week

2. Tokyo + Kyoto means more traveling (2.5+ hours by train one way) but Kyoto is very worthwhile. You can probably still do a daytrip somewhere like Hakone for Mt. Fuji and onsen.

Planning an itinerary

Hi, TexasNatasha,

Planning a trip can be overwhelming. Sometimes you can cheat a bit and see where the pros go, then plan your own itinerary.

Or you can hop on a tour and just enjoy the scenery! :-)

Happy planning!

Thank you both for the tips and email sites. By the way where do the pros go?

What do you mean by ';pros?';
