- my flight is at 7pm, will 4pm be a safe time to leave for airport from shinjuku?
i%26#39;m staying in sunlite shinjuku. will be purchasing the nex+suica combo from airport to shinjuku.
what will be the must way to travel back to narita airport?
itinerary in tokyo for 7 days.
day 3 can do more
day 6...cant do
have you read my report?
i%26#39;ve just spent 9 days away in tokyo...
the report is here
tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g298184-i861-k26鈥?/a>
and i did alot of the places you mentioned
itinerary in tokyo for 7 days.
we flew out of narita at 12pm...and we got the limosine bus at 7am...which was just about right time (if you wanted to eat at airport, which took us 50 minutes)
so you going to airport at 4pm is NOT enough time
how about 3pm then?
what are you thinking of doing at the airport???
shopping? eating?
which terminal are you flying from?
we flew out of north terminal one...we got there at 8.50am (we took 7am)
i dont know what your airline checking is like
you may want to ask what time it opens
if your not going for shopping or eating 3pm should be fine
Day 1: ok
Day 2: ok, but you will have time left. Outside of Meiji Jingu, Harajuku and Shibuya can take all day only if you like to shop.
Day 3: Unless you really like shopping, there is no need to go back to Shibuya again. Roppongi Hills is nice but it%26#39;s just another huge shopping complex (one of the many in Tokyo).
Day 4: After your picnic, Shinjuku is more shopping during the day. There is nothing special at Ikebukuro worth seeing unless you have certain shops in mind. Compared to Shinjuku and Shibuya, Ikebukuro is quite forgettable.
Day 5: Ueno%26#39;s Ameyoko market street runs parallel to the tracks between Ueno and Okachimachi stations.
Day 6: ok
Day 7: There is a NEX train that leaves at 15:41 and arrives Narita at 16:59. Whatever mode of public transport you take, it should be no later than this train. You can take Yamanote Line to Nippori to transfer to Keisei Skyliner or Keisei Limited Express to save money.
Overall, Tokyo is great but unless you want to keep shopping, you can do a little more. You can forgo Ikebukuro, Ginza and Ebisu and not feel like you have missed a thing.
A good half day trip is Kichijoji, just 20 minutes west of Shinjuku on JR. It is a good relaxing shopping area with small shops and cafes. Consider a day trip outside Tokyo as well such as Nikko, Kamakura or Hakone.
